Importance in Gynecological and Reproductive Health

The endometrial environment plays a crucial role in female fertility. Studies show that approximately 30% of cases involving unexplained infertility, recurrent implantation failure, or recurrent pregnancy loss may be linked to altered endometrial receptivity, immunological imbalances, or suboptimal endometrial microbiota.

Factors such as asymptomatic infections, persistent inflammation, or a displaced implantation window can impair the uterus’s capacity to receive the embryo. MiFERT&i addresses these factors comprehensively, offering a complete analysis that enables personalized intervention to improve outcomes in assisted reproduction treatments.

Process

To perform MiFERT&i, an endometrial tissue sample is required, obtained via a biopsy performed by a specialized healthcare professional. The sample must be collected in a specific tube and preserved under appropriate temperature conditions to maintain its integrity until analysis.

Recommendations

Once the risk is identified, preventive therapy using oral anticoagulants can be administered to block the formation of new thrombi and control existing ones. This treatment must be prescribed and supervised by a hematologist.

A Useful Tool for Preventive Medicine

Incorporating MiFERT&i as part of a personalized approach in reproductive medicine allows for the detection of alterations in endometrial receptivity, immunological profile, and microbiota before they affect embryo implantation.

Its use is particularly indicated for women with recurrent implantation failure, unexplained infertility, a history of early pregnancy loss, or those about to start assisted reproduction treatments such as IVF or ICSI.
